The Barn Journal
Population 97, and That’s Where Our Mail Goes
A little love letter to St. Gregor, Saskatchewan, and the prairie folks who make small places feel big.
If you’ve ever looked at our address and wondered where on earth St. Gregor, Saskatchewan is, you’re not alone. It’s a village of about 97 people, roughly 20 minutes from Humboldt, Saskatchewan. And here’s the thing: we don’t even live in it.
Just North of St. Gregor, Saskatchewan
Grey Barn Handwerk is on our farm, 3 ¾ miles north of St. Gregor, just off the highway. St. Gregor is simply where our mail goes. It’s where the parcels start their journey, and where a lot of your orders begin the trip to your door.
So when we say “just north of St. Gregor,” we mean it. Blink on the highway and you might miss us, but the Barn is right there.

Small Places, Big Hearts
Living out here teaches you a few things. Neighbours matter. You wave at every truck that passes. And when someone needs a hand, people show up, often before anyone has to ask.
That’s the spirit we try to put into every piece that leaves the Loft. It’s personal, it’s made with care, and it’s meant to make someone feel like they matter.
People Like Us
If you love the prairie, support local whenever you can and would rather give a gift with a story than something off a big-box shelf, you’re our kind of people. Whether you’re down the road in Humboldt, across the province or on the other side of Canada, you’ve found a little piece of Saskatchewan here.
From Our Mailbox to Yours
Every order is Handwerked in the Loft, packed with care and sent off through that little village mailbox, or picked up right here at the Barn. Population 97, and somehow it still reaches the whole country.
Shopping Local From St. Gregor, Saskatchewan
Shopping local doesn’t have to mean living next door. Our neighbours pick up at the Barn, folks from Humboldt and the surrounding towns stop by by appointment, and everyone else gets their order by Canada Post, anywhere in Canada.
If you’re not sure what to get someone, our Gift Finder asks a few quick questions and points you to ideas that fit. And if you can’t decide at all, a Grey Barn gift card lets them choose. However you shop, your order starts in the Loft just north of St. Gregor, Saskatchewan, and carries a little small-town spirit with it.

Why St. Gregor, Saskatchewan Feels Like Home
There’s something about the prairie around St. Gregor that sticks with you. Big skies that change colour every evening. Fields that tell you what season it is without looking at a calendar. Harvest time, when everyone is a little tired and a lot busy, and somehow still has time to wave.
It’s about 20 minutes to Humboldt for groceries and errands, which by prairie standards is practically next door. Life out here moves at its own pace, and we wouldn’t trade it. That pace is part of what goes into every piece: no rushing, no shortcuts, just good work done properly, the way people around here have always done it.
So the next time you see “St. Gregor, SK” on a parcel, you’ll know the story behind it. It came from a tiny village, by way of a farm just north of town, from a Loft full of ideas and a whole lot of prairie pride. We hope it makes someone smile when they open it, because that’s the whole point.
