Custom Blanket Saskatchewan — 9 Panels, Your Story, One Fleece
Nine panels. Each one personalised with your names, dates, photos, artwork, or the phrase your family says that nobody else would understand. Our custom blanket is printed and assembled in our St. Gregor workshop on soft fleece that holds up in the wash and looks as good on the sofa as it feels wrapped around you.
A blanket from a chain store keeps you warm. A custom blanket Saskatchewan families order from Grey Barn does that too — but it also tells a story. Nine panels, each one personalised with whatever matters most to the person wrapped up in it. Names, dates, photos, kids’ drawings, coordinates, quotes, or the inside joke that’s been running in your family for twenty years.
Our 9-panel custom blanket is printed on super-soft fleece right here in our St. Gregor workshop. It’s not a template you fill in online and hope for the best. We work with you on the layout, the design, and the details — because a blanket with nine panels gives you nine chances to get it exactly right.

How the 9-Panel Custom Blanket Works
Think of it as a grid of nine squares, each one its own little canvas. You choose what goes in each panel — a photo, a name, a date, a piece of artwork, a colour block, a quote, or a combination. We arrange them into a cohesive layout and print the entire design onto fleece using sublimation, which locks the colour permanently into the fabric.
The result is a custom blanket Saskatchewan customers can wash repeatedly without the design fading, cracking, or peeling. The colours stay vibrant because they’re part of the fabric, not printed on top of it. That matters when the blanket lives on the sofa and gets used every single evening — which, based on what our customers tell us, it will.
We send you a digital mockup before we print, so you can see exactly how your panels will look together. Adjust, rearrange, swap — we don’t print until you’re happy with it.

What to Put in Your 9 Panels
This is where people get excited — and occasionally overwhelmed. Nine panels is a lot of room to work with. Here are some of the most popular combinations our custom blanket Saskatchewan customers have ordered.
The family story blanket. Kids’ names in individual panels, a family surname in the centre, wedding date, family photo, and a quote or coordinates that tie it all together. This is the one that makes grandparents cry in the best possible way.
The baby milestone blanket. Birth date, birth weight, hospital name, a newborn photo, tiny handprint or footprint artwork, and the baby’s name in a featured centre panel. New parents order these as keepsakes, and grandparents order them as gifts.
The memorial blanket. Photos and dates honouring someone who’s passed. A favourite saying of theirs. Their coordinates. A simple “forever loved” panel. These are some of the most meaningful custom blankets we make, and we treat every one of them with the care they deserve.
The pet blanket. Yes, really. Nine panels of your dog’s best photos, their name, their breed, and a paw print. We’ve made several of these and they are exactly as wonderful as they sound.
The friendship blanket. Inside jokes, shared memories, travel photos, and the kind of quotes that only make sense to the two of you. These tend to get ordered for milestone birthdays or long-distance friendships where you want to send something that says more than a gift card.

Why This Custom Blanket Saskatchewan Families Keep Choosing
The fleece itself is soft — genuinely soft, not “looks soft in the photo but feels like a dishcloth” soft. It’s the kind of fleece you reach for on a cold evening without thinking about it. It holds up in the washing machine, it doesn’t pill after a few uses, and it’s sized generously enough to actually wrap up in rather than just drape across your lap.
The sublimation printing means the design is permanent. No vinyl that peels at the edges after six months. No iron-on transfers that crack in the dryer. The ink is in the fabric. Period. That’s important for a product that’s going to get washed, used, dragged onto the floor by a toddler, claimed by the dog, and generally loved hard.
And it’s made here. Not dropshipped from a warehouse. Not printed overseas and mailed in a plastic bag. Made in our workshop in St. Gregor, Saskatchewan, by the same person who designed your layout and answered your email. That’s the custom blanket Saskatchewan customers get from Grey Barn — personal from the first message to the final fold.

How to Order Your Custom Blanket
Submit a custom order request with your panel ideas — photos, text, design concepts, or even just a rough description of what you’re imagining. We’ll come back to you with a mockup showing the full 9-panel layout. You review, adjust, and approve. We print, inspect, fold, and ship via Canada Post from St. Gregor. Local pickup is always available.
Turnaround is typically 1–2 weeks depending on design complexity and our current workload. If you’re ordering for a specific occasion — a birthday, a baby shower, Christmas — let us know the date and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can make it happen.
For the best print quality, send photos at the highest resolution you have. If your images are lower quality, we’ll let you know before we print so there are no surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Blankets
How many photos or designs can I include?
Up to 9 — one per panel. You can mix photos, text, artwork, colour blocks, and graphic elements. We’ll arrange them into a balanced layout and send you a mockup for approval.
Is the custom blanket machine washable?
Yes. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The sublimation print is permanent and won’t fade, crack, or peel with regular washing. Avoid bleach.
What size is the 9-panel custom blanket?
40 x 60 inches. It’s a generous throw size — big enough to wrap up in on the sofa, not so big it swallows the bed. Fits one person comfortably or two if you’re willing to share.
Can I order a custom blanket Saskatchewan-wide as a gift?
Absolutely. We ship across Canada via Canada Post. If you want it sent directly to the recipient, include their address in your order and we’ll handle it. We can include a gift message if you’d like.
What photo quality do I need?
The higher the resolution, the sharper the print. We recommend photos of at least 300 DPI or the largest file size your phone or camera produces. If a photo is too low-resolution for a good print, we’ll let you know before we proceed.
How long does a custom blanket order take?
Usually 1–2 weeks from mockup approval. If you have a deadline, tell us upfront and we’ll confirm whether we can meet it.
